Thank god Tech doesn't fuck with Don Juan anymore. I swear every fucking beat is exactly the same. High hat, fat bass line, some high pitched tune on top of that, shake up, repeat.

Fuck Carter... Tech N9ne shits all over himself. His shit is 10,000 times better in just about 10 years, whereas kats like DMX rapped themselves into oblivion and didn't bother to do anything to improve. Compared even to Anghellic, some of the shit off of these albums are intolerable. LoL.

Don Juan was pretty hit or miss if he produced some of the tracks that I think he did. Earthquake, Trauma, Stamina, P.R.2KI, Mitch Bade; all those tracks are classics.

i remember i said something about liking tech without don juan more then tech with juan and somebody told me im one of the only people that think that. but i feel the same way about juan, some of his beats are really crappy and some are dope.

I think that Don Juan is that line in the sand for Tech fans lol....love him or hate him tho they did some classic shit together....I always wonder how they would sound together now? Plus regarding the "simple beats" you know that time and technology changes things and the more you do shit the better you get (hopefully) I dont realy hate on Don music that much becasue thats what Tech sounded like when I found out about him years ago,but I do like the progression of his sound up to this point.

Makes me wanna back and listen to that shit all over lol

Well I've had a select few of the mp3's for years but never the albums... I just got the albums from 7th the other day so I'm getting to listen to them as a whole for the first time just now. I know what you're saying regarding the older technology, but there are millions of songs out there from that time that have different sounding "instruments". To me, it just seems as if Don Juan was making nearly the same damn beat over and over, trying to perfect it until he came up with Mitch Bade... Either that, or he made Mitch Bade, then tried to copy how well it sounded and failed. Then he took all the "almost Mitch Bade" tracks and gave them to Tech to rap over.

The only thing that made those beats (or should I say, that beat) so good was the fact that Tech could kill anything, as long as it had a tempo. If you put anyone else on top of Don Juan's beats, it would have been seen as bargain basement bullshit.

There are a few hot songs... But they have nearly the same bass sound and the artists on the track carry the weight.

I have never been a huge fan of Mitch Bade to be honest.. theres a vast amount of tracks Tech N9ne has made with Don Juan's production that I far more prefer than that track.

Most people I show his older music to always complain about the beats. Tech's just good enough to make it work.

i dont know, on the CBTS, Cloudy Eye Stroll, Questions, Mitch Bade, are all good beats. Now Its On was produced by Will The Weirdo I know that. And on The Worst, Niggas, Trauma, The Worst, Get Blowed, They're all gunna laugh at you, mad confusion, strange, are all great beats. I dont know if Juan produced all those, but I loved those beats. I know Im missin a couple more too.
