I want to buy a digital camera, any suggestions?

Im looking to spend up to about 180 dollars. Im not sure what to get. Do megapixels really matter? What about digital zoom, i heard that sucks. What should I get yall? What brand never fails?

if you just doing normal pics...a 3 or 4 pixel is fine, i got a 4 and Im happy with 98% of my shots
but you really get what ya pay for , i only wanted to spend 200 or some, ended up spending close to 400...but i got what i paid for
along with the cam your gonna need a memory card (may or may not be included) and those can be a little pricey...add another $50 or so onto your purchase...and your gonna need a warranty as well, (recommened) cause i mean shit...its electronic and shits happens...add another $50-100 depending on the plan...


the Megapixel rate from what i remember has a lot to do with the sie of our prints...if your doion larger print like 11x17 or poster size then you want higher MP....

i got the Kodak dx7440 and im pretty happy with it...like i say altogether with accesories and warranty it was about $400....oh yeah and dont you want one of those little printers for home...add another 80-200

although the Nkon Coolpix series i've seen takes some fuckin BEAUTIFUL pics...ask Lightyovga..he got one and im thoroughly jealous and conteplating buyin one...although i dont think you'll find a good on for $180...i might be wrong.

as Xraidedloc on here too...shit he sells dig cameras...

i just read the consumer reports on digi cameras.

3-4 megapixel is fine, normal users cannot tell the difference but personally i would get 4 or above.

the article also said that the digital zoom is all bullshit and not to buy into that hype.

yeah i think you want a high Optical zoom, not digital cause digital just blows the pics up where optical physically zooms the camera in...or some shit...

LOL @ THOROUGHLY JEALOUS ...... YEAH MAN THE NIKON COOLPIX SERIES IS A SWEET LINE OF CAMERAS FOR THE PRICE ...... I THINK MY 3200 WAS LIKE 199$ OR 220$ AND LIKE MUSTYNUTZ STATED .... THE MEMORY STICK IS ANOTHER 45$ ......

thats why i took the pic. had to check if i was really infested. i'm on my 32nd cycle of that stank ass rid shampoo as we speak. damn i'm getting light headed

i got a HP photosmart 4.1 MP digi cam for x-mas, Im lovin it. with a 128MB memory card, i can take up to like 15min of video. pics are clean...not sure how much it cost since i got it for x-mas, but im loving it.....

anyone else have a HP photosmart?? i cant figure out how to transfer my video's from the camera onto the computer...anyone know?
