Iverson Accused of Breaking Into Apartment With Gun
From staff and wire reports
Posted July 9, 2002 (Philadelphia) -- Two men have filed a police report alleging that basketball star Allen Iverson, armed with a gun, barged into an apartment in West Philadelphia.
The men who filed the report claimed that Iverson and another man came into the apartment about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday looking for Iverson's cousin, who lived there, and Iverson's wife, the Philadelphia Daily News reported.
According to the police report, Iverson threatened the men in the apartment.
No charges have been filed. Police are trying to determine if the incident actually happened, the Daily News reported.
The building superintendent told The Daily News that he doubted the story.
"There was no way Iverson could have done that... he has no way to get into this building. He drives a Bentley. People would take notice of that," he said.
Iverson's lawyer, Larry Woodward, said he had no comment
