Without getting into too much detail:

Its a disputed belief in Mormonism. The current head of the Church of Latter-Day Saints doesn't believe it to be canon but its an idea that goes back to Joseph Smith. Try reading this

It highlights most of what is said in the cartoon. And like I said the only reason it's been "banned" is because it was never popular amongst some of the higher hierarchy of the church in the years of its infancy.

The best thing about mormonism is that it so obviously made up and in the same time so similar to how many other religions started that it reveals the true nature of religion in the best possible way

If you think about it, Islam started exactly the same way, with totally made up stuff that fools were quick to believe in, and while we have little information about more ancient religions, it is conceivable that a lot of them started similarly
