I'm trying to utilize some of this software i have when making beats. Did you guys have problems with your timing when using say Cubase sx or Vst? Like, did after pounding out a sequence on your midi keyboard did the beat sound out of sync? I can't get this shit for the life of me. Anything to read up on that you of on this subject..forums, tutorials, anything? One last thing, In acid pro 5 I am unable to use my sampletank vst all of a sudden. I have the .dll file in my vstplug-ins folder but acid doesn't pick it up when I scan for vst's, what happened? I know I got a few questions but any help and I would be greatful..thanks folks

Yes, latency can be adjusted thru your soundcards buffer settings. If you're using a SoundBlaster or any other consumer-grade interface, you're not going to be able to fix this problem, you'll need to upgrade your audio interface.
I don't use Acid so I can't help you with that but were you using a trial/demo version that expired? Did you actually install SampleTank or just copy the .dll file for it (I don't know if that would make a difference)? There's probably someone here who uses that software who can offer more help.

No I bought sampletank xl 2. When I hit the keys it sounds like there isn't really any latency it's just when i try to record a track I then play it back and the recording sounds off like the quantize is not set. I can't call it. I'm gonna try a few more things but if anyone knows anything let me know. Thanks
update on that lil problem I was having with cubase and acid. Cubase just didn't do it for me. I think I'm the first person to probaly say that but I couldn't get the feel of it. And now for some reason acid will not recognize sampletank as a vst for shit. Oh well. I remember I bought fruity loops producer addition last year and it was never used. Well I upgraded it to 5.0 and started fucken wit it. Man! It's a monster....I don't know why I didn't sit and mess with this sooner. Plus everything works fine and I'm pounden out some nice shit. So sooner or later I will start posten some production up and maybe even start sellin some tracks. I'm not the best but I know I have way more skill then half of these cats sellin beats right now all over soundclick for like $250 a beat. LOL. But hey if they maken their money I can't be mad they just have some mean competition comen their way. But yeah, sampletank works like a champ in fruity, my pro tools is worken great with some nice quality, and my next mission is to learn reason 2.5(because i went and bought that shit too). Then after I figure out 2.5 I will upgrade. But thanks to all the people that take the time out to help folks that are in the studio stumped and confused. Thanks!
