What i see in Scarface lies in his classic material

Geto Boys - Grip It
Geto Boys - We Cant be stopped
Geto Boys - Til death
Geto Boys - Resurection

Mr Scarface is back
The World is yours
The Diary
Untouchable
Last of a Dying Breed
Every track he does with Devin

The man is a legend his voice his presence his lyrics, if you can't see it - it really is your loss. I'd go so far to say (particularly his work on Diary) was a massive influence on what 2Pac became

Face is not just good for a Southern rapper he is one of the tightest, realest and most honest rappers in the game

Scarface talked about the street hustle game like no other and was creative with it. I was listening to "Your Ass Got Took" and he said, "And I don't give a fuck about no witnesses. Witness this... (Gunshot)". I laughed because that was a line from an old Black & White gangster movie called "Public Enemy". In that scene, they had a state's witness tied up in a chair and quote: "Ahh, so you want to be a witness, huh? Witness this..." and shot him. That was creative. I think that movie was from the 40's-50's.

This is what makes people like Scarface and 2Pac legends. They did it ALL. Not just gangsta shit, but even conscience shit. A couple by Scarface off the top of the head... "Never Seen A Man Cry", "Minute to Pray, Second to Die", etc. They can rap about a negative situations in a positive manner. Something like a wake up call. Another one from "Last of the Dying Breed" CD. "In My Time" was deep. A line from the song was something like "niggaz want to be like Mike, I rather be like Christ, and in the end, see the bright light".

Now, how many rappers can you name that can talk about the game in different point of views (the killer (most rappers tell this point of view), the witness, and the victim) and can tell it in a negative or positive manner "consistantly"? That's what make you a legendary gangsta rapper.

Scarface is just one of the few artists that can change the game every Album he puts out. He is one on the godfathers of rap. He has been in the game for over 10 yeras and has had great record sales and a strong following. I will always pick up anything that Scarface puts out because it will always be tight. The only Album I never cared for was "Last Of My Dying Breed".

Pick up that Scarface DVD.....it has all the classic videos and live performances.

And in my book "The Diary & My Homies" are the tighest Albums he has ever put out.

Scarface is a heavyweight. He makes you feel what he is speaking on, and he makes his subject matter seem extremely real. Listen to Diary of A Madman, his lyrics in that track make him sound crazy as fuck, and not like NIP or Lynch, with Face it seems real. He also doesnt fuck around, when Face says something ya know theres something behind it, like in Look Me In My Eyes...

among other things, yes.
Exactly....among other things.

And among "other things" is what Face brings to his musicc and the rap game....those "other things" are what shines through his musicc....and ranks him among the BEST in the game.

YOU can feel the emotion, I can relate to the things that he raps about.
The folks above me in this post have already covered the areas of Face's greatness.....you all right on point.

I may hurt some Pac fans by saying this, but Pac ain't all the great "lyrical genius"....BUT, Pac rapped about the struggle and everything else with enough FURY that made you feel what he was going through. His raps are moving and POWERFUL!
And that right there, is above and beyond your avg rapper.

Pac and Face both, are some of the GREATEST rappers ever.

i wouldnt call him a lyrical genius, but Pac's rhymes were hard at times. he used multi's, metaphors, similis.... that's wut i look for in a rapper (plus delivery). i see why you guys like scarface now, and i know why i dont like him. he doesnt contain wut i look for in rap. but it's all good folks thanks for answering me.
