Windows 8 is a disaster do not get unless u have a tablet or a touch screen laptop. Windows 8.1 is being released soon, if it hasn't already, and they are adding a Start button (somewhat) amongst many other changes so that should tell you how bad the feedback has been.

Microsoft thought it would be a billiant idea to have PCs, phones and tablets all exactly the same but in practice that shit doesn't work. I don't want my PC acting like its a tablet or my phone running apps constantly and shit.

As much as I dislike Apple they were smart enough to recognize OS X shouldn't function like a fucking iPad.

its far better as a touch screen...tablet/phone OS...windows 8 in a pc environment really threw me....there isnt too much of a learning curve but it seems like to learn the new OS its met with little pay off...windows 8 for me doesnt feel natural...even now with months of practice i feel out of place and have switched back to windows 7...anyone that believes windows 8 is smoother is correct, only because it was designed to be plain..but my computer handles 7 just as smooth

Funny how it almost is trying to replicate a RHEL (Red Hat) OS ..shit is lightweight identical to RHEL5.

For me, Windows 8 is problematic only because I work in an enterprise environment & this is completely NOT an enterprise solution.

i have it on my laptop an 7 on my desktop its an okay OS would be better if you could custom colors on tiles an little shit like that but its not that bad tbh loads faster n is alot smoother then 7 but nothing to really customize yet and 8.1 will be free for all users ive heard
