that leinart is the starter for the time being. he threw a really horrible game and the cards didnt get shit done. think matt had like 75 yds passing or some shit. after kurt warner got in he threw an excellent game. 255 yds passin and 2 touchdowns. imo warner should be starter for the game on sunday. leinart could hold the clipboard and study kurt

Yeah he's trippin... he doesn't want to damage Leinhart but the way Kurt came in and played against the Ravens there would be no way I'd put Kurt on the bench. I guess he doesn't want to win as bad... if he did he'd put Kurt in there and quit playin' games.

I don't understand why teams want to thrust young QB's into the game so quickly these days. Most QB's need 2-4 years to really understand the game before they can be solid QB's. Puting them in too early can severely fuck up the persons career, as we've seen time and time again.

Plus, Kurt Warner is a good QB. It's amazing to me how fast he became nothing but a backup QB. On the rams, he was considered the best QB in the NFL. He gets injured, Bulger plays very well, he comes back after the injury, struggles a bit, he's gone. Goes to the Giants which had a shitty team and shitty offense. They drafted Eli so he never has a fair chance to prove himself because they were just waiting for the moment to put Eli in. Goes to AZ where the o-line has sucked ass and the one thing about Warner is he needs decent protection so he struggles a bit there too and just like the Giants, AZ drafts a QB for the future, Warner gets benched.

I think Warner still could be a top QB in the NFL if he was on the right team. shit, I'd kill to have him starting for da bears right now. Seriously.

lookin back at last year leinart shoulda stayed on the bench all year. the cards kinda rushed him into being the startin qb. all kinds of pressure was put on matt to produce and win some games. if kurt was startin all last year then leinart woulda got more time to learn the offense and settle into things eventually

the team is what it is. oldest and least valuable football team in nfl. i checked a few months ago and cards are 75 yrs old and only worth around $500 million or so. well never win a title until the cards get some new owners. not these bastard bidwells who seemingly do everything they can to keep the cardinals from winning. they should sell the team to somebody else that will turn out a winner eventually

if leinart dont show up next sunday im sure he wont be starting for a while

^^I think Warner has a couple years left in him. Start Warner, draft a QB and let him sit for a couple years to learn the offense. That would be ideal, imo.
a few years? fans would go crazy even if warner would do good everyone would want to see the rookie qb play, but it did work out alright for romo i think if they cowboys put him in right away he would suck even more now at least he is decent

nah Chicago fans just want slightly above average, if Warner could accomplish that they would be happy. I mean seriously, the last time Chicago had a good QB was in the early to mid 80's with Jim McMahon and prior to that you have to go all the way back to the 40's, Sid Luckman. lol

You HAVE to play Leinart. He’s supposed to be your franchise QB. If you don’t, you just shot his confidence. He probably already lost a bit by being benched.

Once you choose to play your franchise QB…you have to stick with him. Going back and forth or benching him just doesn’t work. So you just paid this fool all that money and set your franchise back for nothing.

If I was the Cardinals coach I'd play Kurt Warner.... after he hit Baltimore up for 15-20 with 2 TD's there's no way I'd send him back to the bench. As a coach you gotta do what's best for the team. Either win now with Kurt or lose now with Leinhart. To me it's all about winning.

That’s coming off the bench though. Baltimore wasn’t preparing for Warner…they were preparing for Leinart. And Baltimore hasn’t looked all that great on D this year anyway.

Warner is done as a full time starter…there’s a reason he’s sitting on the bench.

Yeah but I'd still play him though. I see why y'all wouldn't want to bench Leinhart but he hasn't been playing too good and them Cardinals are tired of losing all the time. I'd play Kurt this year and see what he has left. Baltimore hasn't been playing that good but there's no way I'd bench him after going 15-20 for 2 TD's. He almost brought the Cardinals back. To me it's all about wins and losses.
