I love how cars are the same 10 years ago. All they do now is add some glitter shit. Same mpg, same fucking mechanical problems. I love how the car industry has progressed, fuckin assholes, time to get me a go kart

Not true. Of course the advertised mpg is going to be higher than the actual. With perfect test conditions you will experience nearly the same results, they don't test these cars on the highway or streets.

Move to Amsterdam. They just ride trams and bikes there. I didn't see a single car on the road the entire time.

i'm wit you on that........how hard is it to find a good, reliable, and honest machanic? WHen you need a part for your car i have to go to the dealership to get the part(it's a 2002 model) and they overcharge you for the parts. Same applies when you get your car serviced at the dealershp....they charge way to much for their labor! Bottom line........i'm looking into a horse or bike to get around town. lol not really but wouldn't you save yourself thousand of dollars if you bought a horse or rode a bike around town?

Life Lesson: NEVER buy a new car......it's the worst investment you can buy. Well unless you buy it cash!

well if you buy the new model every year, your fucking retarded.

you get a car to get where you need to go, sure its a scam but it gets you where u need to go. If your good with cars, customize and fix your car up(idk if thats possible) but as long as we have transportation, who cares, no matter what they give us, we are all still going to buy them, and they know it, we just have to deal with it.

Most people dont keep up on maitenance on their cars, causing more than usual wear & tear and bad gas mileage. Regularly change your oil and buy a good oil filter. Basically just show your car love & it wont let you down. I only use synthetic oil, have a K&N air filter & oil filter and had the 90k major service done. It runs good for being a 2000 with 130k miles.

It just seem like nothing is changing because of the relatively slow pace of change, not to mention the fact that the majority of new technologies debut in high end cars and outside of the US. I guarentee that if you got in a brand new 7 series BMW you would be suprised by the difference between it and even an 10 year old BMW for comparison. Here is some shit that is just starting to be added in new cars;

The Passat Variant will be one of the few automobiles in the world to offer automatic distance control. The new system uses a radar (at an angle of twelve degrees) to monitor the traffic situation for up to 200 metres ahead of the vehicle, thereby ensuring not only an automatically defined safety gap, but also that the stopping distance is shortened.
and the new LS 460

the new model's upscale accoutrements that include real-time traffic updates on a navigation screen and a Mark Levinson Surround Sound System with 19 speakers and a built-in hard-disk audio server which holds 4,000 songs. "It will take you three years to hear all your favorite songs," teased Press. Additionally, the new 2007 Lexus LS 460, which is now started by a 'smart card', is so smart it can park itself, using the car's Intelligent Park Assist system that requires "pushing a button..and a little brake work."
Tell me you could do that shit in the early 90's lol.

My first car was a 96 dodge intrepid and now my brother is driving it. I feel bad for him because it breaks down on him all the time but I went through the same shit. I can't feel too bad though since he has a 56 chevy truck and a 73 dodge charger that he will be driving in a while.
