ok, its pretty obvious ALOT of this hyphy raps is comin from the ORIGINATORS of hyphy....keak an thizz.....bein that the MAIN person has passed away to a better place, its hardly any one creative enough to keep the hyphy goin.....

like mac dre said "we make shit up to do". i dont really see anyone making anything new up that is interesting....everyone is stuck on the gas brake dip, stunnas, thizz face, doors open, ghost walk the low.....ya feel?

e40 made NONE of that up, but since he presented it to the nation, they gona say "wow, 40 came wit all that an cant keep it goin".

this is where other artists gotta step it up. mistah FAB got that thizz movement but also got the "backpack" style down pat....i would LOVE to hear dre dogg on the radio....he got that laid back pimpin/hustlin shit on LOCK....yuk got that passion wit him. that thug shit......he deserves some light....messy definitly gots a chance....his voice is VERY radio friendly an all these breezies i be postin wit jock the fuck outa his voice.....

i mean, its now that we slowly start showing the nation the REAL hyphy....ya feel?

ok, on to beer number 6.....

IMO this hyphy fad won't get old for awhile just like people rocking basketball jerseys, and would still get a heavy rotation on the RADIO..

If you really think about it, These people aren't rappers.. they are BUSINESSMEN selling records and making MONEY.. so there music is AIMED at youngsters, bcoz nobody takes this music thing as serious as these youngsters do..i mean yeah old people listen to music, but these youngsters and backpack riders, groupies or whatever you wanna call it, buy all of these cds and got big ass collection you know what i mean? so it's like everybody wants a piece of the cake, and get there hour of fame up..it's like a mainstream thing..

Yeah you got a point with that too, Keak and E40 started this shit, but even keak doesnt even talk about hyphy that much on his newest album.. and i doubt that E40 would talk about it that much on his future albums.

Hate it or Love it.. This hyphy thing got what the bay deserves..

I like the hyphy but its biggest dissapointment has been lyrics. IMO a lot of hyphy rappers lost their flow and lyrical abilities and are relying on beats and concepts which is only half the jig. I think FAB will make or break the hyphy movement at least for me. He used to have the sickest lyrics and could come off top but lately he is rappin about shabopalaboobie and ridin the bus and the lasso instead of what he does best. I really hope FABs release will be 1/2 hyphy 1/2 backpack because the lyrics is what make hyphy so much more different than crunk...

you talk about these rappers being "business men." The main reason people in the bay are not getting, and haven't gotten signed to majors is because them, and the people they have in their ear are NOT GOOD BUSINESS MEN! you can ask any label exec at any major why a couple of our biggest artists out here have not been signed, they will tell you that they are so tied up in bad business moves that it would be stupid for a label to take on any of it. And it's bullshit if you think that its all on a label to get signed...if anybody, ANYBODY wants to get signed and they have enough talent and know how to handle their business CORRECTLY, IT WILL HAPPEN. I'm sick and tired of artists, and fans out here talking about "nobody's getting signed becuase everybody hates on the bay"....look at the reality of the situation.

It takes an artist to make good music. You could make up a list full of all the artists in the bay and then catagorize what type of sound they into. Those that make radio friendly songs and those that keep it too hard for the radio. To me its like if the music is good radio or not, and I enjoy it thats who im gonna support. I like how Northern and Central Cali are getting that 2nd listen. I grew up on this sound whether its new or old. I dont care who created the sound where it came from just as long as everyone could have a good time while listening to it.....
