FIRST OFF. Its a movie about memphis, why only a handful of Memphis artists are on it I don't know. It's good to see my dudes Nardo and Al Kapone on the soundtrack though. A little info, my guy Al Kapone wrote them songs for Terrence Howard. Shit gone be tight though, real tight.

if 8ball & mjg are not on this soundtrack its a complete failure. How you gonna do a rap movie on memphis and not have 90% per cent memphis rappers?
don't take it personal...its only business. the movie is about memphis but its for mainstream audience. so they will have mainstream rappers, but they should have at least 8ball & MJG on it.

Just seen it, was little disapointed, but the best thing was the three songs they laid down. The acting was good, but could have been longer

FYI: eightball and mjg were on the soundtrack. three six did some production, but not a full song. but i agree for a memphis movie it should have been nothin but memphis artists. but its a good soundtrack.
you also gotta remember that this was a MTV presents movie, so they most likely had thier hands on the soundstrack...just like they did with Coach Carter, there were no Richmond/Bay Area artists on that soundtrack...
