Man, I saw one guy on the news this morning, just walking around with some kids in a state of shock. He said that he was on the roof of his house with his wife and grandchildren when the house began to disintegrate. The wife almost got swept away, and he grabbed her and held on for dear life. The water rose more, and she told him to let her go so he could save the kids. She was swept away, and he hasn't seen her since.

sometimes i think its the end

sometimes? i was lucky enough to make it to my cousins place here in Georgia but i can't get in touch with a bunch of my people who weren't as lucky. idiots are shooting at the people trying to help them.

i'm still waiting to wake up from this shit. they're labeling people "looters" that are walking down the street with baskets of food and shit. i could understand the people robbing just to rob but folks taking food and water are called looters and getting pistols pointed at them. New Orleans will NEVER be the same again no matter how much money they put into repairs.

WE WERE HELPING TSUNAMI VICTIMS FASTER THAN THESE VICTIMS. MUTHA FUCKAS ARE DYING ON PORCHES DUE TO HEAT EXHAUSTION WAITING TO BE SAVED. WHAT COUNTRY HAS PEOPLE HERE HELPING? YA FEEL ME? WE COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN DROPPING WATER TO PEOPLE, FOOD, ALL THAT. ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS ARE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT OVERSEA RELATIONS. PRESIDENT BUSH FLEW OVER IN AIRFORCE ONE HASN'T EVEN TOURED YET. WONDER IF HE IS ON HIS 50TH VACATION DURING THESE 2 TERMS.

Is it just me or does a lot of things in life seem a little (ok a lot) less important right now? The other day i wanted to slap this hoe at my work who was complaining about gas prices rising. Now dont get me wrong, of course it sucks, but damn, perspective people. She was bitching about a 20 or 30 cent a gallon increase while the people down there would only dream to have that problem right now.

Please watch this video FROM NBC - go to http://www.msnbc.msn.com and watch
the video titled "Desperate Struggle".

Babies dying from dehydration. Elderly people dying from lack of medication,
dehydration, etc. And the effort to survive is branded "looting," and the
National Guard and police efforts are focused on saving private property rather
than saving these desperate people. The government doesn't care AT ALL about
poor people.

This should be (but it won't be) shown all over the U.S., on every TV screen,
tonight.

this is soo surreal.

just last week i was watchin skeleton key which took place in N.O. I've never been there and now, i'll never be able to go down and actually see the history. It's all washed away. How sad.

I've been watchin the news and its so sad. I saw a lady who passed out during an interview bc she was diabetic and didn't have any meds. There is one certified nurse among all the "refugees" and she's completely exhausted from helping people.

WHat i dont understand is that there are tons of reporters and their vans and helicopters and shit driving/flying around trying to find a story but all the supplies needed to save these innocent people are on there way taking days to reach them. WHy can't these reporters put down the damn camera and help some people out, ya know?? but oh thats right, they wouldn't be makin the money.

i want to go down and work so bad. i Feel so ashamed that im not helping. i could be doing so much.

I watch the tv and my heart goes out to them but then i turn the channel or walk away and my life goes right back to how it was. Isn't that horrible?
