i always wanted to check it out but i was afraid the beats were gonna be lacking because u know how it is now days...so are the albums worth it? i remember see'n a commercial from them with the mixtape though and it sounded good...tell meabout it

i dont know which album ur referring to, but ive been bumping "minstrel show" since it came out...i love it...only thing is is theres quite a bit of non-music (interludes, talking), and an intro and outro. i wish there were a few more songs too, but the songs that are on there are dope as fuck, great beats...i LOVE "hiding place"...love that beat

^^^North carolina...yeah, the other one, "the listening" is classic...real dope...just good syrupy (not sugar coated, but that east coast/sorta down south hip hop, good feeling shit...

The Listening was a more solid album IMO....the sound quality wasn't as good as the Minstrel Show...but I liked the rawness of it better. But The Minstrel Show is off the hook too...real soulful...one of the few CD's that came out recently that you could listen to the whole way thru...

But you really can't go wrong w/ these J-League cats...esp Little Brother..



But as far as the beats lacking...?

Never that man...9th is THE TRUTH...w/ his Fruity Loops usin' ass...lol

I personally liked Minsteral Show the best and then the Chitlin circuits...as far as beats go, cant really go wrong wit 9th wonder...pick that shit up...its good music.
