in order from weakest to strongest

1. no pair high card only
2. pair (2 cards that match exp.8-8)
3. 2 pair.(8-8-6-6)
4. 3 of a kind (8-8-8)
5. straight (any 5 cards that are in order exp. 2-3-4-5-6- / 10-j-q-k-a) also very important an ACE can be used as a 1 in a straight exp. A-2-3-4-5 this is also a straight.
6. flush (any 5 cards of the same suit.)
7. fullhouse exp.(8-8-8-6-6) any 5 cards that consist of trips and a pair.
8. 4 of a kind exp. (8-8-8-8)
9. straight flush. any 5 cards in numbered order that are also the same suit. exp. 2-3-4-5-6-of spades. The straight rule with the ACE as a 1 also includes this hand.
10. royal flush exp( 10-j-q-k-a- of the same suite) if you ever get this bet your fuckin house its impossible to beat. ive only had 2 in my life their very rare.

best books to pick up. any mike caro book, super system by doyal brunson aka the bible. poker for begginers dont remember who wrote i.

ive delt poker for 3 years and played for 6. Ive delt in teh WPO in tunica and in many big money games. So belive me when i say if you seen it on tv dont attempt those games until you get at least a year under your belt and read a few books.

but when you play online theres factor that you deal with in real life, BLUFFS. you cant act all excited every time you have a good hand and you cant depend on other people actions/facial expressions cause they may be bluffing as well.

tony makes a point but its not 1 you need to deal with now so disregard his post. if as of right now you dont know the power of hands you just need to focus on what beats what and get the basics. learning how to see a bluff and read players is something youll learn later right now just focus on the basics. such as what is a button. what is blinds. what is table stakes fixxed stakes. whats a rake. whats the betting option. is a check raise on the turn aginst a large stack a good idea with made trips aginst a open ended straight draw. all these things have to come first. thats why online poker is the best. it allows you to learn the game. while not being seen with obvious what just happend and what do i do now looks on your face.
