Ya, fill out paperwork. There is usually an application/processing fee. I paid $200 for juvi. Then you set up a meeting with someone and they interview you on how you changed, what your goals are, etc. They basically just want to see if you have been "rehabilitated". Then it goes to a judge and the judge makes a decision. You shouldn't have to show up to court though. It takes a long ass time, that's all I know. Then you get a letter in the mail saying its done.
