you realized what you wanted to do in life?
what made you realize this?

Let not argue.

I was 20. I always leaned more into mathematics than any other subject. I have a lot of Uncles in the construction field, so I think I naturally fell into this field. I studied computer aided drafting intially, but I figured Engineering is where its at.

when I was younger I always had a dream of being a baseball player. I was scouted by a couple major league teams, but once I broke my ankle and had surgery, I was never the same and never really thought about what I would be when I grew up.

I switched from math to biology around 1998-1999, but I was into it for a long time before that, just made the decision then

I just work to get by. I do what I do now because it is easy, i get to dress casual, decent benefits, and the pay covers my basic needs.

I don't have plans to do anything different. Unless something comes along that offers me better benefits or more money or a better location - i'll stick with this.

Imma be 23 on sunday..
I work in a lab...easy shit, alright money (for the job, not nearly enough of wat i want to make). Reason I dont like the job is that its not rewarding, no sense of accomplishment. I want to feel like im makin a difference but its just a routine job that just about anybody could do...

Graduated from a university last year with a degree in Econ even though I took Biology most of the time I was there (long story) but no Bio degree...

I want to do something in medicine/hospital enviornment but the grades I got in the Univ arent sufficient to go onto any more college programs, graduate degrees, medical school...all that

I didnt get good grades in college not coz Im stupid, it was because I had no idea wat i wanted back then and guess my head wasn't into school...I've read more after graduating then I did ever in college, Im more into the subjects then I ever was in college.

so basically, I want to go back to school to study more biology/medicine but every school/program wants a 3.5 (im no where close) or higher GPA with recomendation letters (Pretty sure I can't get those from any of my previous professors)...

I been thinkin bout goin to a career counsler or somethin of that sort that can point me in the right direction...

I wanted to get into the graphic design field but I haven't even completed any college courses. I took time out to work part time but ended up devoting too much and ended being a full time employee.

I should've stayed on that school course but things change and I regret nothing.

Now I'm looking along the lines of audio installation for home theater. I'm an amateur when it comes down to it but I'm pretty much a nerd when it comes to electronics.

you should attend a school like ITT tech or something and have a part time job so you can be payin some of it at the same time. Those programs are like 14 months n shit and you can get into the field professionaly coz you got your degree or certificate or watever..

Since I was probably 17-18 I wanted to be a sports photographer, but never really had the money or the open door.......But in 2004 I met Jeff Coady ( one of the best Horse Racing Photgraphers in tha game ) , he gave me a shot during live meet, and that was all she wrote. I'm now the Lead Photographer at Oaklawn Park....I also shoot for the Bloodhorse and DRF. I've also been doing free-lance work and on site portrait photography. When the horses aren't in town I'm doing my next fav. thing.....Managing A Cigar shop. I've been smoking Cigars for 11 years so this job fits me like a glove.

I don't really have any major goals beyond where I'm at now....just trying to enjoy life as best I can

I too am working in/towards the field of Engineering. I plan to earn a degree (industrial or civil) here in the valley, though it is going to take forever because I have to work full time to support myself. I am currently working as a maintenance engineer at a hospital. The health care industry is the way to go! I strongly advise everyone to seek employment opportunity here.

For me I decided what I wanted to do ideally when I was 18-22. The thing is it's hard for me to 100% commit to one thing. Im multi talented so if i just pursue one thing I worry I could be wasting other talents.

im into graphic design, took classes at a community college... no degree yet, 2 classes to go, but thats where im at...i want to get to the point to where im selling my artwork, so being more of an artist than a designer... i want to do something in clothing, or designing art for arts sake... what i mean is that i want to make a product, and have people buy that product rather than meeting with a client and designing to their needs. im slowly doin' it, and am really not in a hurry right now, only 21... i hand paint t shirts right now and freelance design. pretty much just figured this out recently that i want to work for myself when i get to where i wanna be.
