My question is how old is too old to be doing the Rap thing?

Cuz i know that ALOT of your favorite rappers are older than

Too old is when its obvious. Too old is when you aren't relevant anymore. Too old is when you think you are cutting edge and you are old enough to be Fabalous' dad.

But if you can still tour, sell records and have established fans, keep going.

Just my thoughts.

Well I checked your profile, your only gonna be turning 30, shit Lynch Hung is more than half of this boards favorite rapper and he's well over 30. I'd say the same thing as B-12, he's on point with what he said.

Age aint shit. Our society is way too concerned with age and youth. They make it seem like you are over the hill when ya hit 25. I am getting tired of the mainstream media portraying a phony image of how life is supposed to be. Im 27 and I still feel young as hell. 25-35 are the best years of our lives. We are all starting new careers, and starting to make decent money, and starting new families. Our society is all centered on the teenage years, and they want you to think that you are old. We have to live for the moment and not think how shit was when we were teenagers, or worry about where we will be when we are 45.

Age DOES matter, but like I said, if you are relevant, then it doesn't. If you are 40 and trying to come in the music business then you can forget it.

Too Short, E-40, Ice T, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and many others are well into their 30's (and one in their 40's) and they still matter.

In that respect, age doesn't matter if you still got something to contribute.

Peace.

There was a time that I honestly thought I NEVER reach thirty!

So I celebrate it! I know alot of good people that never got there!

Dont let other people tell you that you are old. You are as old as you feel....

I agree with B12 tho, if you have something to say that is relevant, then do the damn thing...

Damn, when you said "OLD" I thought you meant over 40 or something. That's the age where I think it might be time for someone to hang up the mic if they're not relevant anymore. But I don't see why there can't be older emcees doing their thing if they've still got the skill.

Too old is when the Viagra gives you a HEADache instead of a hard on.

Too old is when Metamucil is in your fridge next to the 2% non fat milk.

Too old is when you sneeze and your teeth rattle loose.

Too old is when you make the old man sound when you stand up.

Too old is when your dick just hangs like a wet sock.

Too old is when all your friends are dead!

dj 2nv, sounds more like you feel like M.C. Hammer (or any other rapper that thinks he's "cool" at age 40+), but that doesn't mean shit. Your music can grow with you and if fans like, keep doing it.

Rene, 30 ain't that old playa. My b-day is comin' up soon. I won't give up my age on here, but it's comin' on September 24th. We got more game than half these young cats out here doin' this music so it's beneficial that we're still involved to help them out.

And right on to Dank Sinatra for the RIP to Co-V-Co.

Gone,
