I decided to give directing a shot. Invested in a lil camera an a lil time to edit. I figured that in this day an age everything is visual. If u dont have a visual along wit the songs u release its harder for them to get heard. This is a in studio performance of a song off my new cd "swisher music" comin asap! Im lookin for feedback on the song as well as the video so when u have the time 2 watch it let me kno wat u think! thanx siccness

god bless

I thought the song was tight. The video was actually not bad, some more scenes than the usual in studio performance type shit. The edit/sync of you rapping & the audio was good. Although it being a in-studio video is a bit boring from lack of eye candy. You're off to a good start tho.

I'd have to disagree personally. Longer shots are more difficult to pull off, most of the time when you see a bunch of quick cuts its because the rappers aren't very good at lip syncing their verses or because they didn't have much good footage. Also, with such an oversaturation of videos lately, you want to be DIFFERENT to catch attention, looking the same as everyone else might just get you looked over. All you need is a better camera and to learn about lighting. Just my opinion tho. Just from my consumer standpoint.

I've stepped into the director's chair aside from music. Although, instead of directing a music video like most, I've decided to take the documentary route. To where you have to build a story, not just visual (like music videos), but with audio as well.

As some of you already, know I'm working on a hour long documentary on underground artist, but I took a small break to work on a film outside the music realm.

So I shot, produced, edited & directed the following short film about a guy in my area...
