i think a big problem with the general attitude in hip hop is that if you don't have 5 cars and live in a 10 bedroom house and wipe your ass with 20 dollar bills then you aint doing shit. me personally, i might not be ballin outta control but at least music has allowed me and my wifey to live comfortably and i dont have to report to a job i hate everyday...man i done it all i worked at Souplantation, i worked for the city, i worked in special education for 4 years and i'm not tryna go back to any of that.
not 2 get too political on yall,but i think its fucked up that you could work a 9 to 5, 40 hour week and still not have enough to live on your own, that just goes to show how unbalanced our economy is. i was never tryna follow that path thats why i got real serious about this music thing and now i know...you DON'T have to be famous to make some decent money off it, just build your loyal fanbase, get that cult following lol...
