Isiah Thomas was a great basketball player, but as a coach/executive, he's the worst. I don't know why people keep hiring him for these high level jobs which he turns into coaching jobs. I thought the process was work your way up not down. People thought Brown did a crappy job with knicks, I bet Isiah will out do him 100 times over.

I mean Isiah basically put this team together so I don't think he will do any better as a coach with this same squad. Oh well I ain't worried about them cuz they aint my team anywayz... Fuck it the Knicks are doomed!

my favorite Isiah executive move

CBA
Thomas became the owner of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) from 1998 to 2000. After his purchase of the Continental Basketball Association, the league was forced into bankruptcy and folded. Many CBA managers blamed Thomas' mismanagement and out-of-control spending.
hmmmm...knicks payroll and team???? You'd think he'd learn from his past mistakes

Brown did turn around the clippers from the butt of the NBA to the playoffs. He's also taken several teams to the finals (Detroit and Philly?). I think he's far from overrated - I don't think you can blame him for the mess that isiah made. That Eddy Curry trade for the 2nd pick is looking rather bone headed right now.

Yeah Isiah is on some dumb shit.....just cuz he can play ball he can manage a NBA franchise? He's proven that one wrong......especially with that CBA bankruptcy that someone has posted above me.

In general, it seems good/great athletes don't make good coaches. There are a few exceptions, but not many. Look at Wayne Gretzky, the most dominant player (statistically) in the history of sports and his team sucked last season.

It's probably because things just come "naturally" to great athletes, so it's hard for them to teach it as a skill.

Brown wanted the Knicks to waive Marbury, Rose, Curry, Francis...basically all the high priced assholes on the team.

....on another note, way to go Isiah!!! Renaldo Balkman at 20???? He could have had him as a free agent. GENIUS!!!
