i just want 2 get people's opinions about how the south bay fits or doesnt fit in the rest of the Bay area's sound. It doesnt seem like most people care less about what goes on in the 408 and @ the same time the south bay seems to have its own style. Do the two make it so that no one trips on the south bay artists or what??

any responses or anyone else thought about it?

IMO - the south bay is completely different from most of the Bay Area and has its own destination and path. the music and artists just dont seem to come on the same level. the 408 has its own local support but not much after that

San Jose has a lot of artist who are dope, but dont do the things that need to be done to get respected. From what i see is alot of rappers think becuase they put an album out in 95 that they are some legends in the game. What you did back then was dope but you need to keep hustlin keep your name in the street and stop actin like your some super stars aready. They need to actually go out and find a dope producer to get them dope beats, record in a studio with someone who knows how to mix your shit. spend money on a dope album cover.. Stop using a homemade cover you made yourself. Promote you album before it drops hard and harder after it drops. most people jsut stop once there album is out. Once they start doing the lil things people will notice you, if your shits hot you will get respected. Then it wouldnt matter where in the bay you from.

i think it also has to do with demographics of the southbay. look at frisco vallejo oak rich, they all have a good portion of minorities that support rap. u look at the south bay and its all suburbs with probably essj being the only "hood" portion of the southbay. what im saying is these southbay (who is majority white folk) are not into hip hop, u are dealing with a demographic that does not support hip hop, and to blow u need people supporting u, and san jose lacks that. at least yall got bad bitches tho

South Bay has a shit load of minorites. San Jose is not all suburbs trust me.. Theres hoods on all sides of San Jose NSSJ SSSJ ESSJ and WSSJ. The support thing is on point tho. Most rappers will tell u that its other rappers not supportin them, when thats wrong. Fans aint supportin them because of half ass products. Im gulity of that we paid the money for the beats and studio time but half assed the artwork, in the end most of the feed back i got was they wouldnt pick it up cuz of the artwork. When i played it for them they copped it. If its dope its dope. Point blank. and yes we do have the baddest bitchs.. lol

San Jo has alot to offer, Assassin, Gangsta Reese, Mr. 21, Gato Mas Loco, other homeboy rappers, and more. sadly when most people think of San Jo rap they think only Norteno rap. i like that rap too, i'm just sayin that's just the image it has cuz people judge San Jo wrong..
