How Do You Dispose of Condoms?

For whatever reason after having sex with my wife tonight, I decided to read the inside of the condom box. It said NOT to flush them down the toilet, but I've been flushing them down the toilet every time. Is there a reason I am not supposed to do this? I don't want my used condoms sticking to the inside of the trash can when I throw them away, and I really don't feel like taking the time to prepare for a proper disposal in the garbage can by placing it in a bag.

i think they say not to flush em because it will fuck up your plumbing.. but wat i did when i was younger and had to dispose of em discreetly was, wad them up in a toilet paper ball then flush em.. i figured by the time it came out of the tp ball it was out of MY system and into the sewer
