How Do Transfer An Emailed Song Into My ITunes Library?

Someone emailed me a song that I would like to put in my ITunes library so that I can load it into my IPod. But I have no idea how to do that. I tried saving it into my ITunes folder, but it was not in the library. Can someone give me step-by-step directions? State your directions as if you were talking to a retard, because when it comes to computer shit, I am a retard.

Or save it somewhere, open ITunes, click file then add file to library, and go wherever you saved it and select the file.
