I gotta car that I am paying payments on but I am thinking about trading it in for another car. So how does that process work? Will the new credit union pay off my car that I am paying payments on now and then tack that onto the new car's price that I am thinking about getting?

i remeber i tried to trade my truck in they were only going to give me 12,000. so i sold it on my own for 15,500 and paid off my old loan and threw that extra 3,500 on top of my down payment that i had already saved up and had a bigger down payment.

basically they rip you off on trade ins.
