It seems as if their "in-house" producers they'll only list as "Produced By Thizz Ent.", but those who are known they'll list (i.e. One Drop Scott, Droop-E, Sean T, Rick Rock, etc.).

not only for the beat credit but i would think youd want to get your publishing and i dont really see how ascap can get you your money if theres no hard copy evidence of your work....i think thizz signs these guys into deals where they jus cash em out then they own the exclusive right to the beats.......

How can that actually be a good thing Homie? If he's good enough to sign why can't he be good enough to be mentioned on the credits?

cuz the homie got talent and he was already slangin beats on his own but face it in this day and age everyone and they mama got beats....some really good some really bad but theres a lot of decent beat makers and most rappers have a HOMIE that makes thier beats so you'd really have to sticc out to become well known for beats and makin big money off it......if you can get cashed out for 20 beats at once your probably makin more money than tryin to sell them 20 on ya own seperately......it all depends though..... for example (and these numbers are jus theoretic dont take em litteral) say Droop E can make 5 g's off one beat easily cuz hes well known......he's an establised producer and in demand so he can negotiate a better deal and even require that he gets his credit on the album .....he can do that cuz he's Droop E......but if im not well known and can make good beats i might be able to get 5 g's out of 20 beats cuz i aint in demand or well known and i dont have much room to negotiate as Droop E....personally id be jus as happy credit or not....i mean the credit is great and id love to get that if possible but i would sell 20 beats to THIZZ right now for 5 gs in a heartbeat and sign over the rights to em and all, sayin fucc the credits and publishing cuz i aint sellin enough beats as of now to come up on that much cash at once......only thing that would succ is your missin a chance to get better known but you can still cite your own credits and if you really made the beats you should be able to come up wit some other good beats to shop as well and prove your worth........ im a broke ass cat still livin in the hood so it kinda depends on your own situation and how badly you need money i guess.......

One of the many major rules in the Game...NEVER LET SOMEBODY ELSE TAKE YOUR PUBLISHINGS. That's my whole point, how the hell you gonna be in demand or known if you not getting credit for your work? Going by your statement, your out to make a fast buck and willing to take it up the (no need to go there)

It makes no fuckin' sense Homie...for real. Then we wonder why this Game is all fucked up.

Your just not good enough, on an album you're listed as and more

I don't know who you were stating that to, but I'll answer that one too.

Fuck if your name is not listed on the front cover under the featuring section. 9 out of 10 most people ain't even known who the fuck them people are. Think about it, the consummer is buying the Cd or even picked it up to look at it because of the main artist (not the features). Maybe in the late 90's 2000-2002 listing the featured atrist on the front cover worked (like compilations), but not today. Not in my book anyway...shit's just played out.

As long as you are given proper credit in the insert, fuck the front cover. Credits on the insert of the Cd covers make good bathroom reading material.
