How Come This Board is So San Diego Dominated Compared to LA??????

Just wondering, obviously LA is much much much bigger than San Diego but seems like atleast half if not more than half are San Diego posts.

Is it b/c a lot of the LA artists are mainstream enough that they don't really need a message board like this for promotion? Kind of like how there is no New York board on here but it's so mainstream out there that the "General Hip-Hop" board functions as the NY board?

True, but those LA dudes can put out anything they want and people will still buy just because of their name. Their already established since the good times of the 90's. They might be able to put out those new albums cuz of the $$$$$ they got, but it doesn't mean it's quality. I personally find only the Game's album and a couple of Snoops new songs to be a good quality. The rest is garbage. WTF is cr@p like "Candy" by Snoop!?!?!? That's the kind of $hit that makes me say wat tha fuuuckkk! :ermm: How about deleting the fuck out of those kinds of tracks and making more like "Round Here," "Imagine," "One Night," "California Vacation," "Da Shit,"....

I said a couple, but that doesn't exactly mean I like two to be exact, more like 4 or so. OK, does saying "I like a handful" sound better to you, buddy. And the rest of the songs I mentioned are off of Game's album.


To tell you the truth, I think Chicano LA rap is the best thing out of LA right now. Overall, they keep their vibe a lot HARDER & G-ed up, none of this trendy sounding $hit.

i gotta disagree with you on one thing though - it's not because cats are from LA that they can put out whatever they want, i mean youre talking about Snoop and Game, they both have the major label push behind them. if there was a cat from SD who had that kind of paper behind him, said artist could put out whatever he wanted as well. because really, besides snoop and game who else from LA is really getting any considerable shine? i feel like we gotta come together, LA, IE, SD, the Bay, everybody, so it wont just be snoop and game over and over again being damn near the only west coast artists doing anything major.
