HOW COME EVERYTHING I DO ON FRUITYLOOPS SOUNDS LIKE SOME RAVE SHIT?

Try about 85-95bpm.
It's going to sound like a 'rave' track if you make a rave track, ya dig? Start by disecting one of your favorite songs. Find out what different sounds go into the beat and write it all down. Then try to recreate the drum pattern first. Try to choose similar drum sounds. Once you have the drum pattern down pat, then try to recreate the bass, and then some of the other instrument parts. Chances are that your beat won't sound that similar at first, but atleast you'll understand the process of making a rap beat. I can't stress enough that you should be trying to disect every track you hear to figure out what makes it hot.

Fruityloops is just a tool, and a decent one at that. The program is very powerful, especially with plugins, but the interface and design is pretty convoluted, since it was originally designed to be a simple 808 style drum sequencer, but has grown to be much more. But you're not going to get something fly out of the program if you don't put some talent into it or good sounds... I've heard some seriously notch beats come out of it, so I can't knock the program, even though I don't use it. If you've got skill, you can make it knocc. Personally, I'd move on to a different setup, but I just prefer to work in a different way...
