personally...i dont think the SDPD (I KNOW ITS MUSIC BUT IF U FROM HERE U KNO WHAT IM TALKIN ABOUT) would have it .
But definatly would be dope.Anyone ever decide to put one together..im all in to help . thats whats up .

what is is gonna be called the san diego rap summit it aint even enough rappers from SD with product like say uh the bay artist and i dont think its a long enough history of san diego rap compaired to the bay and what not but i could be wrong...

and like dude above it would get shot up its still an late 80's early 90's gangbang mentality going on here but its getting better...

BEST THING TO DO< show up to this event. SAN DIEGO to me is a Branch on the INDEPENDENT RAP TREE- THE TRUNK AND ROOTS come from the Bay Area, but the size of the branches depends on the artists. Learn to network and make projects bigger, able to sell in more than one location, Just the Bay, just San Diego, just Portland/Seattle, etc. SHOW UP!!! and soon things like this will happen all over.......

man this is the best idea ive read on this site. sd has a lot of real talented artist, if they could come together and get the city to support em (like houston and atlana does) we'd definatly be big.

someone needs to organize a sd rap summit. nemo? irocc?

The summit IS coming to Dago...Rapsummit.com (which is run by Danny Dee) has got LA, Vegas, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, and San Diego all planned for the very near future. Stay Tuned.

Also if you can get up to The Bay Area Rap Summit this weekend, alot of major cats and SD representers will be there...peace

I think a summit is a great idea,you (the city)dont have to be in the limelight in the rapworld to need one.For upcomong rappers ,producers,managers etc they could use the mentorship.However do you need to wait for one to have one....? I feel there are a good amount of those who would truly benefit from one,and would help in making it a sucess,but there is also a good amount who are just out for themselves,and wouldnt be willing to contribute if it wasnt benefitting them.My advice is network with those around here , chip up and rent a van and hit those big events,rent a room, sleep on the floor whatever you gotta do

NO CITYWIDE UNITY. PERIOD.

Cats that haven't even scratched the surface are HATIN' on other cats that are TRYIN' to put SD on the map. Yeah, there are people that will say, "Jayo put Dago on the map. He was signed to Def Jam." The key word there is "WAS". He no longer is and who did he bring with him when he had a little shine? They best quote I ever heard Bullet Loco say about blowin' up in Dago is to LEAVE DAGO. Peep the Rap or Die DVD. If those are the word comin' from the a cat who was signed to a Major label, are y'all rappers need to either break the fuck out or get yo "Nick Cannon" on.
