how can you tell when a speaker is blown

i just amped up my speakers, and the front 6 1/2 stopped working correctly after a lil bit. I just want to make sure its blown for sure.
how can i tell?

It could be one of the following problems

1. The speakers have Bass Blockers in them
2. They are getting hot
3. The Amp is too powerful for those speakers
4. Your wiring could be loose.


Are they factory 61/2's? If so you may need to buy some name brand speakers.

i actually got it to work again today by re wiring it
