Let me preface this by saying that I am in no way a bush supporter and I did not vote for him.

but a few days ago I watched fahrenhype 9/11 and just cant understand how anyone can take michael moore seriously. It seems he twisted facts to the point that they are not facts anymore, but complete fiction. I think it just further proves how irrational a lot of people can be.

like the one actor in it said "give me enough footage of michael moore and I'll make him look like a anorexic republican"

for all those that seem to almost idolize the dude, please explain how you think he is justified in making this bullshit and passing it off as the truth, or do you guys just not care whether its fact or not just as long as it makes the president look bad??

I haven't seen it yet, and really dont' care, but the president makes himself look bad. The people just point it out. His movie may be an exageration but there is truth to it and people need to realize that shit isn't peachy keen anymore.

The right are the original holders of the "purveyor of crap" positions. For years the Left sat back and watched Michael Savage, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, and Rush Limbaugh bombast and spew half-truths. Now the "left" in America have someone who does the same, and conservatives just can't believe it.

In fact Michael Moore, just like Bill O'Reilly, is intellectual McDonald's. His work is somewhat poorly researched, subjective, and often ludicrous, in the name of putting forth an ideology. This is nothing new in politics or pop culture. In fact BG I really think you would have a seriously hard time finding any diehard "Michael Moore" supports on this board.

Fahrenheit 9/11, even if 70 or 80 percent incorrect, still gives a viewpoint and comes from a perspective that is basically unheard in our society. While our "liberal media" sat back and were cheerleaders up to the War in Iraq, while talk radio is dominated by half-wit conservatives, and 60 percent of our country is still afraid of gays, commies, and Mexicans, this guy came out and says some shit that just freaked out the Right in this country.

You can tell me all day about incorrect statements or half-truths in F9/11, and I can tell you all day about the same coming from Hannity, Coulter, and the like...it's really just a chldish endeavor. Read some Michael Moore books, and you will see where he's coming from. Even if his entire movie is discredited, I've read enough of his work to say that his ideas should at the very least be heard in our hypocritical, conservative post9/11 environment.

Fact is only fact until it's spun. You ever watch Fox News and see their Fox Facts? I swear one of their Fox Facts was like "People Drink Pepsi".

Fact is no longer fact in this day and age, internet blogs are credited as news sources.

Well to be truthful in this country the original holders of the title "purveyor of crap" are the Founding Fathers that wanted freedom even though most had slaves. If that's too early, since America really wasn't it's own country but still 13 British colonies, you can also look at the Democrats who advocated Slavery until that one little war that killed about half a million American soldiers that had the Republican President free them in the end. Weird how people think Democrats have always been these nice guys and how the Republicans have always been the bad guys, well that is until you do some research and figure out either group is just as bad as the other.

I think Moore’s movies/books are entertaining and I think it's great that he is contributing to lifting the level of political consciousness amongst the masses, but I (along with many others amongst the left) lost a whole lot of respect for the guy for the way he has been acting and his positions throughout this latest presidential election. His blind support for Kerry became almost sickening towards the end.

Michael Moore has the power to lead his followers in the right direction, but unfortunately with his flawed logic and flip-flopping of his own; he will eventually be considered nothing more than a wacko film director.
He’s a hypocrite.

I think his movies aren't very good, never read his books cuz the movies were crappy enough.

I think he does more to hurt the "left" by not being serious about things and making crappy propaganda. He tries to hard to counter the right-wing propaganda machine, but learns no lessons from why they are so good at it and why it is effective. It's a shame a skilled propagandist doesn't have the same kind of access this guy does. All the ones that do make it for the other side.

Laughed my ass off when they blew his fat ass up in Team Ameica.

I really dont care about Michael Moore. He's just a director selling his product like anyone else. Why is the Right so obsessed with him, maybe for the simple facts already outlined by WD up above. Also, I dont know anyone that idolizes MM, do you?

MC, I never had any idea about the Dumbocrats being a "good" party. I'm just saying most of the left's political voice tended to be more grounded and intellectual, shit like NPR and NY times editorials, while the right tended be a Savage/Limbaugh type shit crock fest.

And BayGIANTS I don't see you frequently talking about Man Coulter, Sean Hannity, or Michael Savage's frequent spouting of bullshit. Why? Because you agree with them. I don't even agree with much of what Moore says, but what we get in the media is so often just a blind repeating of white house press releases, and I'm glad someone says something otherwise.

As for his books, they're are a lot better than his movies. Theyre good for frequent laughs...

Nothing like Al Franken, but still funny at times. His books definitely beat his movies.
