Don't know, no one actually sounds "WestCoast" anymore. It's a shame. I'm not neccessarily talking about G-Funk, but just the production techniques in general. You hardly ever hear chords anymore, bouncy basslines, guitar, piano, strings,... Everyone be trying to replicate that southern club sound, so alls you hear now are fucking Trancey sawtooth leads and 808 kicks pitching up and down instead of basslines. You get your westcoast sounding beats here and there, but very very little.

The last albums I like production wise are:
Bossolo-Wes Rydin (no one seems to talk about it, shit is hella dope)
WC-Guilty By Affiliation
Spider Loc-West Kept Secret
The Game-Doctors Advocate
Conejo-Devils Playground (Evil sounding shit)

Of course local San Diego arists like Ecay Uno get down, but on a national scale, no one really knows them.

well in the 90s everyone was trying to sound like they are from the west coast with the high pitched leads and the flexatone boooiings and shit, its just how things evolve, very early 90s everyone sounded eastcoast to me

Since it seems like what you're really asking is who makes the hottest beats, you could probably list off a hundred names. There's a ton of musical talent on the west coast. Unfortunately many of them haven't had their shot or don't know how to get one.
