This has been causing a lot of controversy here in New Mexico. Fuckin APD shot this dude for pulling out a knife on a k9, when he turned to surrender they shot him six times, after they shot with deadly force and when he was on the ground they shot him again with a bean bag. Protests have been occurring due to this bs shooting. FBI is currently investigating the force, this has been happening to often here in the city, I know this isn't nothin new to bigger cities but shit is insane already.

They did the right thing. A police dog is an officer of the law and its life has more value than a knife weilding bum
Yes a police dog is an officer of the law, but the problem is the excessive force that was used, dude didn't cause a threat until they launched the smoke grenade and sent in the dog. Dude just wanted to camp in an isolated area and they caused unnecessary threats and force. He didn't make any attempts to harm the dog, other than guarding himself from the dog trying to attack him, not like he was swinging viciously when the dog came forth, and yet they shoot him with a bean bag after he's been shot six times? Get the fuck out of here.

I live in Albuquerque and the shit these cops gotta deal with has them all ready to shoot. The guy was a nut job though and even sliced some dude in the face with a box cutter.
