what is its purpose now a days? I truly feel there's so many garbage rappers trying to do music that sometimes it feels not worthy enough to listen too. I was raised on old school chicano music so 90% of music now days isnt what i would listen too.

Na, for me its backwards, I cant stand the lyrics and beats to the Darkroom material or GUN material. I think the new era shit is better, Woodie, Lil Dee, Shadow, Deep Sleeps, Cali Sicks. I think the new shit is better

Darkroom was more towards a dark gangster type feel.

East coco, deep sleep, etc had a more up beat vibe which i like alot more.

Darkroom had some good shit, but they seemed a bit repetitive over the years.

g-funk era (mr. kee - ultimate high, PFL, temporary insanity, GUN, older DRF material)
