Earlier this week we released news on the latest posthumous release from Tupac as well as the albums lead single, [see The Latest Tupac Release "Pac's Life" Lead Single], which so far has received mixed reviews from our readers and forum members.

The new album entitled "Pac's Life" - the confirmed cover of which can now be seen to the left - will feature unreleased Tupac material as well as a host of 'current' HipHop and R&B acts.

The album includes contributions by Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Keyshia Cole, T.I., Ashanti, Young Buck, Carl Thomas, Big Syke, Papoose, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Outlawz and Lil Scrappy with production from LT Hutton, Sha Money XL, Swizz Beatz and others.

A recent press release regarding the album stated; "One verse fans will recognize from an earlier album, all of the [other] recordings on the album are previously unheard." In the past decade since Tupac's death there have been 11 posthumous albums released which have featured music that Tupac recorded prior to his murder.

When asked about "Pac's Life", his mother Afeni Shakur stated; "I say it every time, that Tupac left us the blueprints to follow, and without the amazing contributions made by everyone of these artists, producers, musicians, everyone, I do not know how I would get this great task accomplished, I believe whole-heartedly that Tupac sends the people he wants to these projects."

As in our previous update on the album we have the albums title track "Pac's Life" for download which features T.I & Ashanti and is produced by LT Hutton.

Tupac - Pac's Life (Feat. Ashanti & T.I.) (Produced By LT Hutton)

The album is being released on Amuru/Interscope and is executive produced by Afeni Shakur and Tom Whalley. "Pac's Life" hits stores November 21st.
I thought they was bringing it back to the West :(

u already know that aint finna happen...if pac was alive he wouldnt have fuked wit none of them people...i thinks fans would be more happy if they kept the guest appearances minimal like 3 or 4 new people and some people he actually worked with...same things with the beats...get a couple new producers but stick with the dudes that made the classics...then it can be a real pac album...not a compilation...if i was a big time artist and they asked me to be on the project i would say no...its disrespectful to me

That's nonsense...I remember Pac sayin in a not-very-well-known interview that he really wanted to do a track with T.I, who has been an up-and-comer since the age of 11. He also said he loved Ashanti's voice, and wouldn't hesitate at the chance for her to sing the hook on one of his hardest and thugged out songs.

i agree that they should put out an album with West coast features....BUT they want to sell album to more than just the West....With T.I. and Papoose it can maybe get them more CDs sold in the South and NY/East Coast...Its all politics and they want features that catter to the WHOLE country.

Definitely NOT buyin it... 2Pac never inspired me at anything whatsoever & he's not one of my favorite rappers even tho he's dubbed "the greatest rapper alive!!!"; just to be reel honest wit ya...

Sorry peeps, no offense but imo, his overrated image, top songs, & posthumous releases are gettin played out!!...

i hate when they put new people on pacs cds and people you no he would have never worked with.
But the thing is, you don't know if he woulda fucked with them or not, cuz he's dead, nobody can no for sure. I think its good that Pac's is still getting music released, otherwise all that material he recorded before he died would be wasted. Good to see Young Buck on the album, I think they are similar in a few ways.

even if they let the same producers make the beats it will still suck

just because it's not 95 any more and most of these people have past their prime

just release it the way it was; do whatever is needed to clear the samples and don't let the legacy be fucked up

many of those who were born in the early 90s will grow up thinking 2Pac did tracks with 50 Cent, Eminem and Ashanti...
