Apt.3 / DNA have a dvd magazine coming out. Its just like our old paper magazine, stricly Bay interviews, but in dvd format. We always discuss the history of Bay rap in each interview. First "issue" has Guce, Cougnut (RIP), Done Deal, Ray Luv, Mac Mall, Young D Boyz, TC and Enhancer, Outlawz, JT, etc. Check for updates on it soon.

Gabe...can't wait for that.

I was just thinking about all this last night.

Monday I started reading a book on the early history of B-boying, Grafitti, Breaking, & mainly Hip-Hop. It just dropped last October. Here's a link:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/A...4477876/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/104-5790847-8842354

It's one of those reads that you just can't put down. There is nothing commercial in the entire book...straight from the heart. It's a oral history lesson told by the (unknowing at the time) founders of this whole thing.
For those cats a little older like myself who grew to love this music through early artists, mainly east coast records, before West Coast artists were puttin out material, it is more than worth the time. I would recommend it to anyone who says they love this Rap Music.

Hopefully this book and that from Apt. 3 will inspire similar projects out the bay. You got your first customer right here!

Yeah if its successful, were going to do them continually. The magazine market is just as rough as the music, so Im trying a new angle with it. Not to mention that something gets lost in an interview when its read instead of when people can see the artists. The coolest artist can come off like a dick when its read sometimes. People will really like this dvd for the simple reason that it invites a fan into a conversation with an artist that they want to know more about, when viewing the interviews it gives it a whole diff feel than just reading it and seeing some staged pics.

By the way, thanks always to L-Wood for all the support. Each release that comes out, hes always the first check in the mail. We appreciate the support.
