HISTORIC DAY FOR FIRINGS MONDAY?

We all know that Raiders coach Lane Kiffin and Rams coach Scott Linehan are on the hot seat. But could Monday be an extraordinary day for firings, with both men losing their jobs?
Adam Schefter noted on NFL Network’s NFL GameDay Morning that with the Raiders and Rams both heading into their bye weeks after todays’ games, the chances are good that both Kiffin and Linehan will be fired tomorrow.
That would make history. Since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger, only five coaches have been fired during the regular season without even getting a chance to coach five games. Kiffin and Linehan could be the sixth and seventh.
The previous five are Mike Shanahan, who started 1-3 with the 1989 Raiders, Kay Stephenson, who started 0-4 with the 1985 Bills, Jack Patera, who started 0-2 with the 1982 Seahawks, Howard Schnellenberger, who started 0-3 with the 1974 Colts, and Jerry Williams, who started 0-3 with the 1971 Eagles.
