Yup. As usual, it's dope--again! Most artists (or labels) go through "droughts" where they lose their ambition and never regain what made them great in the first place, but that doesn't seem to have happened to Jay Tee at all, ever...Each 40 Ounce CD sounds as committed and focused as the last one...
And have you ever noticed that Jay Tee often uses producers that you might not have heard of before, but they come with tight shit musically! Here's a few producer names (it wouldn't hurt to have your 40 Ounce CDs nearby so you can pop 'em in and play the songs I mention. Have fun!):
PAISLEY ("California Hot Tubs", "Somethin' Freaky", "Deep N2 The Game")--from 24-7-365
DAVE G. ("Situations", "Cali Lifestyles", "Take A Ride")--from THE GOLDEN STATE
WACKY ("Livin")--from THE RUMBLE
FINGAZ ("Maria"), D4 ("I'm From Vallejo Playa") and ROD AMP ("Little Bit Of Head")--from SLIGHTLY PIMPISH, MOSTLY DOGGISH
LITTLE LEE ("West Coast"), and HOTAN KHEYRANDISH ("Pepe Le Pew")--from SO COLD
DEE 4 ("Scrilla Scratch", "We Ride Vogues"), BLINKY ("Mira Mira", "All Nighters") and FERG ("Handle My Business")--from VELVET CITY
BIG ICE & ORAL BEE (well, basically, half of VELVETISM)
GLS ("When I Come Thru", "Shake The Spot", "Wants To Be"), MR. PIMP-LOTION & ORAL BEE ("Big Caddy"), CHRIS JACKSON ("Youngsta") and MAGIC ("Baby Girl").
Just a few that come to mind, and with HIGH CALIBER, it appears that the tradition of dopeness will continue. Props to Jay Tee and 40 Ounce. PEACE!
