Have ya'll heard about this guy? Hes gunna be a free agent in MLB next year. Hes gunna be tha first power hitter overseas to play in tha majors. He hit like 50 home runs last year and tha past 7 years he hit 30-40 a year or something. I hope tha fucking Yankees dont get him cuz they are thinking about signing him...that would be tight if tha giants could get him :cool:

The Yanks will most likely get him, they are talking like he is signed by them already. I agree with Bammer though to a point, I dont think 25 Homers is average, but I do think he will hit somewhere in that area maybe 35 tops. Look at what he did against the MLB players recently, not much. Ichiro will have much more impact carrer wise. I still am all for him coming over though, it adds a little intrigue to the game.

That pitcher from Cuba is supposed to be the goods though, and he will be a Yankee.

ya i think contreras is MLB quality and ready. and as for the japanese guy. you can take away about 30% to 40% of his nunbers once he hits the majors. average players seem to be superstars in japan. just look at kaz ishii this past year. he has been the top pitcher in japan the past 7 yearsnever had an ERA over 3.5 then he comes over to the Dodgers (a place where pitchers love to pitch) and gets raped for a 5.00+ ERA
