they dont want him for that no more, they want him to be a 3 down receiver. i think they should keep him at a returner since he's having the most success anyone ever had in these past 2 years but hey wat can ya do

what do you mean they don't want him for that no more? He's still going to be a returner and playing receiver, just like last year, only they plan on him having a more important role on offense.

I'd be cool if they take him out for one or two punt returns and use Daniel Manning or a number of other guys that are good returners. da bears have the best special teams in the league and even when hester isn't there returning they will be above average.

But it would be straight retarded to take him out any more than that. Hes the best at what he does, ever.

hey i'm just sayin what i read. they said they want him to focus more on being an offensive player and he wont be the main returner, i dunno if they plan on doing it next season or if they gonna slowly take him out of the role but thats what they sayin

well he got 12 returns in his 2 year career and i thing the person with the most has 19 and it was like 9 years or some shit so i'll say he will most likely be the best ever.

I think he's already the best ever considering his numbers is such a short amount of time. 12 return TD's in two regular seasons, plus one 108 yard missed FG return TD, plus a TD return on the opening kickoff in the superbowl (so 14 total).

The record for most return TD's is 13, set by Brian Mitchell which he did so over 14 years.

Brian Mitchell played 223 games and 1,070 total returns.
Devin Hester 32 regular-season games and 152 total punt and kickoff returns.

when you drop stats like that, you win the argument. hester=best ever. czar you lose buddy. hahahahhahaha nott hat you were really challenging it. but yeah if he returns 1 a year for the next 6-7 years he smashes the record. and we all know he will up that by quite a few.

its stupid for hester to not be the return man 24/7 unless they trying to make opposing teams happy with kicking to the bears and then throwing hester in there like "oh shit, I didn't know HE was back there"

hester as a return man > hester as a receiver

I agree with 206 I think he's the best kick returner ever. I know it's only been 2 years but look at his stats and nobody else does/did it better.

my bad czar, i was too busy looking at the fact that i whipped your ass in fantasy football playoffs, and just last week beat your ass in fantasy basketball playoff. and you "traded" and had kobe and lebron and still got the shit kicked out of you...... so if my post above seemed weird to you it was because i was cloudy do to massive ass kicking ive given you over the last 2 major fantasy sporting leagues. I HAVE ENDED YOUR SEASON TWICE.......

and further more you are wrong. stats and averages are all the hall of fame looks at. longevity dont mean shit...... you can suck balls for a long ass career, dont make you good. hester retires in 2 years he goes to the hall. based on the impact he has on his team alone, and popularity.

GOT EM.

Gaye Sayers only played for 4 1/2 full seasons and is in the Hall of Fame and considered one of the best kick returners of all time.

Hester retires after next year and produces the same numbers, he's hall of fame, based on his accomplishments.
