We've always been criticised for not 'updating our sound' or 'conforming with the current trends'. For years, whenever we did a 'horrorcore' show or cd, we were always met with more negativity than positivity. However, sometimes it pays to keep doing what you do out of the LOVE of the music, not because it is selling at the time. Here's an example below...consistent sold out shows, amazingly cool crowds that actually BUY MERCHANDISE and don't hound you for free shit for them, their cousins, etc. No one hounding you with their crappy garage demos or someone wearing faded Cross Color jeans telling you they are a CEO.
I always laugh when people show clips of their performances but don't show the crowd...because 9.9999 times out of 10 there's about 3 people in the audience.
The sound is horrible because of being next to the speaker but here's a clip of my man Mars with Kung Fu Vampire and the crowd's reacion in Petaluma on March 15th 2010.
