Next time your in a room with a television on, and a bunch of people are talking about a movie you dont want to know the ending to, watch the tv and see how hard it is to be able to remember what the program was about. While they talk about the film, if you can concentrate on the tv and shut them out totally you are one super strong concentrator. I had the worst time doing it (maybe cause i was high, but it was sooo hard) I think it was just real hard cause i was high.

Man I can tune anything out.....last night I was at my homegirls house and the fan on her computer kept makin a loud ass noise! After 20 minutes of it being loud she yells......."I wish that damn thing would shut up". I had forgotten all about it even makin noise I was so "INTO" what I was doin!

At work, I deal with the public all day long........All I hear is talk talk talk talk about sisters uncles daughters cousins babys momma's cat's and so on bullshit so I've learned how to tune shit out...........its called SELECTIVE HEARING!

Yeah id agree with the second part, but the first, your brain is supposed to tune out noise of such specific wavelenghts for that long a period of time.

I didn't know that about the wavelength thang but I beleive it cuz I can watch a tv program with the radio playin and forget all about the radio if I really wanna see the show........I learned how to do this growin up with my mom who always seemed to wanna listen to the radio when my favorite show would come on ...lol...

haha i feel ya man, i work retail so i got ppl talking bout how nice this dress look, how much this cost and i tune out ppl when they ask stupid questions and keep walking to the break room for my 5th 20 min break in my 3 hr shift

You want to know the movies ending, but you know if you hear it you may not want to see the movie. So you got to try harder to tune out the important conversation.

man me n my grandpa got the same problem , when i go over to my gandparents house hes tryna watch tv n goez i can't watch tv you keep on yapp yapp yappin n complains how he cant watch tv. itz the same with my sister cuz she doesnt have a job no more n lives at home she keeps on tryna talk to my mom about some dumb ass shit n i cant get what the hell the movie is about
