be it that most of our "grown to love" bay area music artist are approaching their 40s, and still havnt grown out of the plateau of the local area scene? is it safe to say that they will never get mass appeal because of old age? can they still have popularity at these ages? im very curious to know.

im also curious to know why is this the only region i truly know that neglects to run proper business without scamming people rather if it is shows or promotions and lets not forget about the dissing.

if only you people knew the real reasons why muthafuckas have petty beefs with artist like messy marv, then you would feel where im coming from.

personally i know alot of people and their inside life situations, most people hate when either they dont have shit or cant have shit.

read between the lines. and as long as people out here buy into this crap, this shit will never be the same. i miss how things used to be..

gangsta music aint cuttin it,and i know its not paying nobodys bills. video directors in the bay charging outrageous prices for videos that no one will ever see outside of youtube, and mtv2 aint shit and i know the real scoop how muthafuckas been getting allowed to get on there, and it aint hella money.

lack of unity, then when its a person with a bit of power in position they throw weak ass panel parties/conventions like its the gavin convention and run scams on that shit. promoters do it the same way.

why is it nothing but artist at everysingle rap autograph session? how ironic is this bullshit?

lol the bay is a joke.

being on a block dont make you successful, all that shit leaves behind death and pain. how about leaving behnd a legacy and making a true mark in the industry. and people wonder why cats dont come back to the bay after they break out the scene.

the stupid mentalities that cats have out here is the very same reason why its so hard to hold shows out here, people fuck them up. you cant name one event or concert that took place out here regarding the bay area within the past 2-3years that has raised the bar.

only thing that get mad hype and props is when a out of towner / big name rap artist/group comes out here. its quite amazing how cats kiss major ass backstage and behind the scenes. this is the type of shit im talking bout.

that logo story yal was force fed to believe was a huge ass lie,and if uwas dumb enough to believe that shit then shame on you.

im from Fillmoe San Francisco born and raised.

what im speaking on is unity and spreading this music shit coast to coast and overseas, this underground shit aint been getting nobody anywhere.

if u a rapper from the bay and have to sell dope or rob just to keep up your so called image,u niggas need a career change.

if muthafuckas came together do yal know how much money we can see.but everybody wanna be the man on top and shit on everyone else.

whats so cold is most of these djs get better exposure then alot of these so called rappers from out here.

fact: most artist around the nation know about the bay, whos comin out the bay, and whats comin out the bay. fact: listeners dont listen to the bay b cuz of the grime and game put into the rhymes. im not sayin other artist dont be spillin that too, but 98% of bay songs, every other word has to do with kilo, coke, pounds, murder, choppers, wig splittin, pushin weight, etc. way to hard for the mainstream. 90 % of the slang you hear tracks of other artists outside the bay =stolen and uncredited for, from the bay. the bay doesn't and won't get recognized till we change the raps, and quite frankly, i dont want that sissy lala-tryna-find-the-words-for-the-girl-without-being-disrespectful shit. the bitch is a whore, hoe, skeez, cumbucket. no other word for it. i like the rap game in the bay where its at. theres been some fire ass albums this year and '10 is bout to be big for us, maybe not on a national level, but i think the music is still quality. and just on a side note, livewire is on one...dont b surprised if the get shit poppin next year.

spitting grimey raps on hood shit with no hooks, lame production/mixes and bad mastering to no mastering at all jobs is horrible.

other regions put money in the music, like paying a high quality studio to mix and master their music, not inside a producers bedroom. if you take basic audio engineering classes you will know this. i only know of less than a handfull of engineers in the bay that has done quality mastering services for the rap industry in this scene.

fact remains the same, these artist are approaching their 40s,in another 10 years these niggas will be 50. thats all im saying. if individuals cant see clearly pass that then you will be stuck in this weak ass cycle that im talking about, shit its 2010 mayne. the bay area fucked off the first decade of 2000,is it going to happen again?

solution? in order for bay area music artist in those alike to unite, the streets will have to change first, its too much gang banging and gangsta shit that is holding us back,in and behind the scenes. maybe i need to start filming more back stage shit for you uncut,on how many hood niggas that aint doin shit be back there for no fuckin reason and how security and police be getting pissed off which causes delays, and other misc. problems, then the shows get cancelled. man this shit goes on and on and on and on and on.

25+ years of bay area rap and all i see is a few select people in snap shot photos giving hand shakes. in yal think thats somethin to be proud about? show me 1 recent bay artist who got major dough from rap alone and have been successful, without the drugs and the hoes? you cant. and thats wtf iam talking about.the bay needs improvement.

just like i said in that frisco rap thread.frisco rap will never get off the ground and in the spotlight until the streets unite. grown ass men are beefin over petty bullshit because of some he say she say. man this shit gets deeper then you cats will ever know.

Monte you're being a hypocrite. you contributed to all the shit you said in your post. by getting a logo made, as a bay area "CEO", for your bay area group, and not paying it and coming up with excuses. you just gave graphic designers in the bay another reason not to fuck with you, or possibly other up and coming artists. and i'm sure part of your opinion was shaped by whatever bay area tattoo artists have inked you with those kindergarden status tattoos, most notably the one of the dorito outline on your back. so shut the fuck up because you're not exactly mr. good business yourself. practice what you preach.

you stupid as fuck nigga if it was a problem the graphic artist would of aproached the people he were in lines of communication with,we spoke, there is no problem. siccness dumb members get a taste of bullshit and run with it and dont even know what they be talking about.

besides the bullshit community the siccness has,the fact remains the same, until i see cats performing at real venues and not clubs (if they can even book in clubs anymore) then cats aint doin shit. when cats did have a chance of a opportunity, they blew it up i.e bars awards, which itself was a rip off,but none the less was one of the last few chances, as long as these bay streets is fucked up,rap will be too.

whats real is that these young ass women and men,are losing their lifes out here, say somethin real and push a movement. just like pimp c the rapper was trying to do with the petty beefs where he was from, the bay needs to cut this shit out mayne.

Its like motherfuckas can't have an negative opinion about the rap scence in the bay.

Without a bunch of fags tag teaming, getting upset because somebody actually speaking the truth.

I completely understand you bro, you made some valid ass points. But watch people gone take this shit to the heart on here. This website is funny to me, I come on here and laugh at the convo's. Like who really discuss which is (plug in any local rapper from the mid 90's) album.

You can't have an opinion on this motherfucka, there's fags on here thats still mad at me for some shit I said years ago. Niggas have gone as far as photo shopping my pictures LMAO.
