Help With Editing Mp3s

Im lookin for a good and reliable program that can cut mp3s like a certain section, and if it can do more than all the better. I tried mp3 cutter/joiner or something like that and it always crashes. What do ya'll recommend?

Audicity is free. Its mainly for recording but you can upload the song onto there and then cut it and mess with it however you want.

i use cool edit as well. will have to check out some of the others though. cool edit is all i have ever used,so not sure if its the best

GoldWave is the better of the two IMO, but those are the only two i've used.
