Help The Computer Retard Out

I need something that allows my wife to use the internet while at the same time I can play Xbox online. Right now, I just unplug the ethernet cable from the computer and plug it into my Xbox 360. But sometimes I want to play video games while she is on the internet. Is there something I can get that will allow me to do this? I think they are called "routers", but I may be wrong. Also, what type would you recommend?

Here's a list of Xbox compatiable routers. I bought a D-link before I read this list and it turned out the model I bought isnt on the list and it wouldn't let me stay logged on to Xbox live so I took it back and got the Linksys WRT54GS for $70 along w/ the $100 network adapter from Target.

be careful with the wireless adapter for your xbox tho, cuz the signal is not as strong as going str8 from the ethernet cable, so u may lose signal while playing games.

^ in that case, i would suggest ditching the xbox adapter and getting a wireless adapter for the PC if it doesnt already have a wireless card.

^ i have wireless adapter and d-link and i find the wireless adapter for the 360 works better..but thats just me.

shit if there that close he dont even need a wireless router he can get a regular router for like 20 bucks , or if he really wants to go wireless leave the Xbox wired and make the PC use the wireless connection like kayvee said xbox wireless adapter !
$100 bucks on for the PC like $20 bucks tops
