help needed

I just bought a Tascam 2488mkII Multi-track Recorder and wen recording and listening to the songs we record off of there it sounds good but wen I burn it to a disc and play it on any other cd player the songs sound muffled. very low! can any1 help? is it the mic or an EQ problem?

it depends on what your burning it as!!!! one pass or somthing in that nature usually for instance im in pro tools and when i bounce a song i have to change the setting to the best possible transfer quality!!!

its probably simple just what rate your burning it as one pass or so fourth cuz i used to burn songs and shit would sound like it was in a garbage can it just was the a differnt rate then what you supposed to have
