well i turned on my comp and it said ive been infected with Spyware. i have spybot search and destroy but that shit didnt work. so this "spy sheriff" shit pops up and scans my comp and shows my the spyware and shit. but it says i gotta buy the program in order to remove the spyware. first off, is spy sheriff legit? second, if i were to buy that program would it be safe to buy it since my comp has spyware. third, any suggestions on what i should do?

What you have is adware that has been installed into your computer trying to sell you spyware.

Did you already have spysherrif? I think I once upon a time D/ld that and had the same effect.
Unless you have some really fancy shit like norton or macaffe, Id reformat. Just a pain in the ass to have to reinstall all your settings.

My question is howd you take a screen shot?

i never had spy sheriff, never evn knew it exsisted. i do have norton, but i have to renew the subscription, and i dont want to pay with my credit card online IF i do have spyware.

and i took a screen shot by pressing the PRINT SCREEN button next to the F12 key, then u open either PAINT or photoshop and PASTE the image,

ok. clear your calendar.
back up everything you want saved.
restart your computer in safe mode (F8 I believe)
select distructive
and within 30 minutes your computer should be virus, spyware, popup free, as well as empty.
then take the time to reinstall all your stuff.

or just call tech support and they will walk you through it.
Gateway? Emachines? Apple?

I got that shit tha otha day from going to the spc message board. If you have xp then u should go to your start menu>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and see if your pc created a restoration point if not after you fix your issue this time then be sure to create a point once u get your shit back up that way you can do that and it will restore your pc to the way u had it at that time and date
