Im currently having a major computer issue....My main account/Administrator account cannot be accessed. I can use my wifes, son's and daughters account's for almost anything. When i log onto my account it starts up (windows) and about 10 seconds later the computer shut's off and restarts...Happens all the time on my account? Anyone know's why this happens?

**edit**

When i log into any of the user accounts i get a message that shows "Data Execution Protection" and that windows has closed "windows explorer"

and an other message appears showing "Data required by updates HP is still engaged by HP_Administrator"
When i try and close any applications that maybe running on my(HP_Administator) account it only show's that the process has failed....

Any help would be appreciated...Thanx!

and you can access everything in your 'admin' account by going to your hard drive/documents and settings

otherwise just reinstall your system software and shit
yea i know...but i also want to be able to gain access, i guess i can extract and cancel the current admin account via safe mode, and make a new 1?

like Kayvee said..do a system scan in safe mode..

shut off your pc...hit F4 10 times as soon as you turn on the computer..

then you will get a screen giving you a few options...choose "SAFE MODE"

then windows will ask you if you wanna access it with safe mode and click yes..

i suggest you check your registry as well..

start>run and type "regedit" then hit ok..

then check HKEY_CURRENT_USER>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>CURRENTVERSION>RUN

write down what execute files are running on there ..if you see any files that you don't recognize delete them..or you can comeback on here and post the name of the files and i can tell you if they're viruses, malware or not..

now do the same again .. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>CURRENTVERSION>RUN

same steps as before..

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a feature in windows XP.

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) helps prevent damage from viruses and other security threats that attack your computer by running (sometimes called executing) malicious code from memory locations that only Windows and other programs should use. This type of threat causes damage by taking over one or more memory locations in use by a program. Then it spreads and harms other programs, files, and even your e-mail contacts.

This type of "attack" is very common and that is why Microsoft have introduced DEP into Service Pack 2 for Windows XP.

Unlike a firewall or antivirus program though, Data Execution Prevention DEP does NOT help prevent harmful programs from being installed on your computer. Instead, it monitors your programs to determine if they use system memory SAFELY. To do this, DEP software works alone or with compatible processors to mark some memory locations as "non-executable". If a program tries to run code—malicious or not—from a protected location, DEP closes the program and notifies you with an warning message.

Software or Hardware DEP?

There are two types of Data Execution Prevention "Software Enforced" and "Hardware Enforced".

Most users reading this article are going to be using Software Enforced data execution prevention - which is available to any machine running Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Hardware enforced DEP is only available (as of writing this article) to users who have machines based on the AMD Operton 32 or 64 bit processor, or the AMD Athlon 64 processor with NX (no execute page protection), or the Intel Itanium processor with XD (execute disable bit).

Where Can I Find DEP On My PC?

1. On the My Computer icon right click with your mouse and choose Properties. (My Computer can be found on the desktop and/or the Start menu depending on how you have your Windows XP setup.)

2. A small window will have appeared called: System Properties. Look for the "tab" along the top called Advanced, now click it.

3. Now look for the section called Performance and click the button called Settings.

4. You will now see a new window appear called Performance Options, click the tab along the top called Data Execution Prevention and you should get the same window view as the image below.

Yeah, ^^.

Create a new account using your other accounts, then copy all of your needed files over from your old account to your new one. If you have AV software running, as you are copying files it scans them at the same time. Well, I use AVG and it scans them as I open the folders and copy them over.

The only two folders you will probably find important shit in are:

C:\Documents and Settings\*THE ADMIN ACCOUNT*\Desktop
C:\Documents and Settings\*THE ADMIN ACCOUNT*\My Documents

EDIT: If it doesn't let you access the folders use one of your accounts to change the password for that account to nothing (leave the box empty when prompted).
