Who saw this movie? I thought it was ten times better than the first film. It was beautifully controlled and directed by Del Toro and his weird ass visions of monsters and set design. The monsters were on par with Pan's Labyrinth and the comedy was straight fucking hilarious. The removal of David Hyde Pierce as Abe was a let down because I don't think Doug Jones can offer anything other than his fucked up body movements to Hollywood films. On the other hand, having Seth MacFarlane from Family Guy fame doing the voice of Johann Krauss was a perfect fit. There was a sequence of monologue between Hellboy and Krauss that had me rolling.
HB: Hey, Krautt.
Krauss: That's KrauSS, with two S's.
HB: Right.....S..S...I get it.
