Mixin' on headphones is hella Hard. I only mix on my Monitors. Cuz instead of having the left and right stereo fields in front of you, you hear them fromt he side. And it really throws everything off. I have me some Sony MDR V600's. About 120-130 bucks is what you're gonna want to spend.

I WAS ABOUT TO SNATCH EITHA THE SONY MDR-7506 OR 7509 BUT I DIDN'T gET EITHER. WHY YAW SAY THEY'RE THE BEST FOR MONITORIN'?

AND FOR THOSE THAT SAY IT gIVES A FALSE SENSE OF MONITORIN', WELL... SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO BE QUIET CAUSE OTHA PEOPLE AROUND AND THE FREQUENCY RESPONSE IS WIDER.

BUT I ENDED UP gETTIN' THE FOSTEX T-50RP'S, THE FREQUENCY RESPONSE IS FROM 15HZ TO 35kHZ AND THEY gOIN' FOR LIKE A BUK. WHAT YAW HEARD ABOUT THE FOSTEX RP SERIES?

WILL ANY SET OF HEADPHONES WORK???

I BOUGHT SOME CHEAP ASS "JVC" HEADPHONES FOR $12 THEY SAY IDEAL FOR CD/DVD STEREO HEADPHONES. WHEN I HOOK THEM UP TO THE 4 TRACC, I ONLY HEAR MY VOICE AND NO MUSIC, WHEN I HOOK THEM UP TO MY COMPUTER, I ONLY HEAR AIR.

CAN ANYONE SPEAK ON THIS???

^^no, look around check some reviews around if you want some audio production worthy pair

mixing audio over headphones is like cooking in pitch dark

i use BeyerDynamic:DT770 n Sennheiser:HD280 Pro, both are great
the BeyerDynamic has better bass response id recomend that pair any day, despite the high price

People have been telling me over and over not to try to monitor with headphoness and they wont substitute for speaker monitors. I do need a good set my damn self though

Id figure you would need to listen to your mixes several ways, you know listen to them on monitors, headphones, home stereo, car stereo etc so you can even out the mix so it sounds clean on any medium. That will also let you know the strong and weak points of the monitoring system you are using, Im pretty new to this stuff but i can make good educated guesses HAHA
