Lee King (Pictures) vs. Marcus Lanier (Pictures)
Round 1
The first few minutes Lanier worked for a takedown that King was able to defend. The referee seperated the two and King made his move, going for a left hand followed by a knee and another left hand that dropped Lanier to the mat. Lanier survives by holding on until the end of the round. 10-9 King.

Round 2
In the second round Lanier found himself on his back working several submission attempts while eating some hard punches from King. Lanier got the crowd going by picking King up over his head and dumping him in the center of the ring. King got rattled and gave up his back to Lanier who quickly transitioned to an arm bar, causing King to tap seconds before the end of round 2.

Jason House (Pictures) vs. Liam McCarty (Pictures)
Round 1
Both men worked leg kicks at the start of their fight until House connected with a straight right hand. McCarty shot in on House and took him down but House was able to jump up after kicking McCarty away. McCarty still wanted to work from the ground and immediatly took House down again where the first round ended. 10-9 McCarty.

Round 2
McCarty again looked for a takedown to start the second round but House muscled his way on top. McCarty worked his way out and they each reversed position a few times until McCarty sat on House and delivered some hammer punches. 10-9 McCarty.

Round 3
House's corner asked him to be the aggressor going into the third round but it was McCarty that got off first connecting with a punch and kick to the body. Both House and McCarty mounted then reversed the position a few times in round 3 until McCarty planted House on his back before the bell. House took McCarty's back twice and won the round 10-9 but during the break (the prelims are scheduled for five, three-minute rounds) the fight was stopped due to a deep cut over the left eye of House.

Jay White (Pictures) vs. Patrick Castillo (Pictures)
Round 1
Jay White got the contest started with a double-leg takedown. Castillo escaped to his feet, but was immediately caught in a Kimura. White transitioned from the standing Kimura to an armbar, which forced Castillo to tap at 0:50 of the first.

Nissen Osterneck (Pictures) vs. Freddie Espiricueta (Pictures)
Round 1
Espiricueta looked to strike in the opening minute, while Osterneck answered with strikes of his own before securing a takedown. Espiricueta got to his feet, only to be taken back down. From side-control, the now heavy-breathing Osterneck looked to set up an arm before moving to the mount. Osterneck pounded away from the dominant position until the refreree stepped in to save Espiricueta. The official call is verbal submission at 2:37 of the first.

Chris Bowles (Pictures) vs. Corey Mahon (Pictures)
Round 1
A left handed lead and a straight right landed early for Bowles. Bowles followed seconds later with a straight right hand lead that sent Mahon reeling to the canvas. After jumping into his opponent's guard on the ground, Bowles worked the top position with lefts and rights to the head while defending Mahon's active offensive guard. Following advice from his corner man Tra Telligman, Mahoon kicked off his opponent and stood to his feet. Bowles landed a right hand before the bell sounded.

Round 2
A left hand from Bowles found its target early in the period. Bowles followed with a takedown. After several minutes of ground positioning, Mahon worked to his feet and landed an elbow that cut Bowles on the forehead. Mahon scrambled his way to Bowles' back, where he struck effectively. Bowles reversed the position but was caught right away by a Mahon armbar. Bowles taps quickly at the 4:22 mark.

Pete Spratt (Pictures) vs. Tristan Yunker (Pictures)
Round 1
Spratt cracked Yunker with two right hands before Yunker was able to coax Spratt to the canvas with a single-leg. From the bottom in side-control, Spratt escaped to his feet and teed off with right hands that opened up a bad cut above Yunker's left eye. Yunker tells the referee he can't continue. The official time is 1:38 of the opening period.

Krzysztof Soszynski (Pictures) vs. Robert Villegas (Pictures)
Round 1
Villegas worked the legs of Soszynski with low kicks for the first minute of the contest. Soszynski came forward with a right jab and a straight left to the body. Villegas then unloaded another low kick that crushed Soszynski's groin protector. The Canadian was given time to recover before the bout resumed. Back to the inside of Soszynski's thigh went Villegas with kicks. The fighters traded punches in the center of the cage for the final 25 seconds of the round.

Round 2
Villegas rushed in to pull guard to start the second frame. Soszynski stood and successfully fought off a kneebar. Soszynski then dropped his head and bullrushed his opponent, ripping him to the floor with a single-leg takedown. Soszynski landed a left hand to the body and walked away from the tired Villegas. Twice Villegas flopped to his back ala Vitor Belfort versus Kazushi Sakuraba. The referee warned Villegas for the maneuver. Soszynski stepped forward with a punch and Villegas countered by flopping to his back again. The referee steps in to halt the fight as the crowd showered the cage with boos. The official time is 3:15 by DQ.

Yves Edwards (Pictures) vs. Alonzo Martinez (Pictures)
Round 1
Martinez steppe forward throwing bombs as Edwards calmly evaded the leather. Edwards opened up with his hands and Martinez immediately pulled guard. Edwards wasted little time before moving to side-mount, but Martinez scrambled his way out of danger to the top position in his opponent's butterfly-guard. Edwards swept Martinez and stalled until the referee stood the fighters up. Right back to the clinch went Martinez. Again the referee separated the fighters. Martinez found top position after Edwards slipped and advanced to half-guard while landing a few right hands. The round ends with Martinez finishing strongly.

Round 2
Edwards landed a left hand that had Martinez reeling early in the second. Edwards pounded and landed some more leather but the gutsy Martinez rolled him over. Edwards again took the top position and the mount shortly after. Martinez offered his back, where Edwards looked for a rear-naked choke. Edwards fought to secure his arm under Martinez's chin, and finally secured the submission after a minute of hand fighting. Edwards wins at 3:04 of the second round.

Frank Trigg (Pictures) vs. Edwin Dewees (Pictures)
Round 1
Trigg stalked his opponent around the cage as Dewees struck wildly with head kick attempts. Trigg fired a kick of his own but Dewees caught the leg and tripped him to the canvas. Trigg locked up a Kimura from his back, rolled Dewees over and forced a tapout at 1:40 of the first.

Jason Miller vs. Tim Kennedy (Pictures)
Round 1
Kennedy survived an early slip to trip Miller to the floor. Kennedy landed a knee to what looked like the chest, but referee Kerry Hatley warned Kennedy ad restarted the fight to standing. A left and a right hand landed for Kennedy as Miller rushed forward with kicks and a flurry of punches. Kennedy is finding Miller's chin with both fists. Kennedy tripped Miller to the canvas and advanced to side-control and briefly, the mount. Miller used good legwork to get half-guard, but Kennedy moved to Miller's back.

Round 2
Kennedy got a quick takedown early in the second. Back to Miller's back, Kennedy struck the head with his right hand before locking in both hooks. Miller fought off a rear-naked choke and rolled out of danger to the top position. From half-guard, Miller landed two elbows with Kennedy trapped against the fencing. Kennedy scrambled to his feet and went directly to work for a single-leg. Kennedy is cut on the bridge of his nose, probably from one of the elbows "Mayhem" landed.The cut is severe, but action resumes. Kennedy is taken down before the round ends.

Round 3
A takedown by Miller kicks off the third. With blood from the nose pouring into his left eye, Kennedy tries a heel hook from the bottom but Miller has none of it. Time is called as the referee calls for the cut to be checked again.

Incredibly, the fight was again allowed to continue. Kennedy scored a takedown but gave up position while trying to pass. An armbar and an omaplata attempt from Kennedy fail to come to fruition. Miller escaped the techniques and punched the nose of Kennedy. From side-control, "Mayhem" poured it on in the final minute with punches and elbows to seal the fight.
